

Not enough time spent on building core functionality. Imo it tries to do too much for the developer resources it gets, it seems like this is one of those projects that will never be stable, because the focus is on new 'wow' features, while the basic functionality still needs more work. I've not used nextcloud for long, I've tried it when it was young, and recently when it matured a bit. I would even pay for a solution but i only found monthly subscription models which is something I hate. Uploadspeeds are bad in Germany - this would take ages :(

It would be good if i could migrate my data from Nextcloud to avoid Uploading 35GB of Images from my iPhone and 100GB of Images/Videos from my Android device. But that wasn't so good for my personal trust level. I don't know why it's not recognize the photos and even uploaded the same images twice. The Seafile App startet to upload 7k images - twice. After that I connected my iPhone and enable Photo upload. I tried Seafile with OnlyOffice and used the cli client to copy my 35GB of Photos to Seafile. If i remember right, I started with OwnCloud 5. I'm running Nextcloud for many many years now. I found this reddit from a year ago but I'm still looking for an alternative for my Nextcloud installation.
